The kids are back in school today after a 4 day weekend. It's lovely to have them home and it's lovely to send them back.
Yesterday I loaded everyone up and headed out to the aquarium. The kids had a great time, but it was 30 bucks to get in and we had to force ourselves to stay for an hour. Kinda not worth the money. There was an octopus there, being rather active as far as octopi go. When Lucy saw him, she whispered, "oohh... dat's a bad guy..... It was pretty funny. We also got to touch some rays and starfish and watch them feed the little crocodiles. Very cool.
After the aquarium, we went to good old Micky D's. I let the kids go in to and play in the play place. You would have thought it was Christmas all over. Even the 9 year old was grooving on the slides. We stayed for over an hour and I only spent 15.00. Next time we are skipping the aquarium and doing McDonald's. The highlight was meeting a lady who had kids named Kaden, Tanner and Lucy. All she needed was a Wes and we would have been twins.
Freaky!
The other highlight was watching Lucy lick the slide the whole way down.
Nasty.
Everyone was throughly sterilized when we returned home.
