I Have Become A Lemming!

You know the phrase, if your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?
Well in this case, Yes I Would!
Saturday night I went to see Twilight. I swore I wouldn't blog about it because although I like the books, I am not as big a fan as as some. I am trying to maintain my "I am not a groupie" facade.
But I can resist no more!
I LOVED the movie. I have this bad habit of becoming totally sucked into some movies. It can get to the point where the line of reality gets a little blurred. I have to really work at coming back to reality. You should see me after an Ann of Green Gables marathon. That Gilbert Blithe, mmm mmmm mmmm! It can also happen if I have a really great dream. I live in my little dream world for the whole day, happily reliving things over and over. I kinda drives me nuts.
Such was the case with Twilight. Like I said, I liked the books, but didn't love. I went in without too high of expectations, the reviews weren't that great and Robert Pattinson is kinda creepy looking in real life. But he makes for one sexy Edward! I have become a bit obsessed....Is it wrong to secretly wish your husband was a vampire that sparkled in the sunlight?
No worries, soon enough I will come back to reality. In truth, Edward would drive me nuts. He is a bit of a control freak, and I can't stand being cold. I just think it is funny I am acting like an obsessed teenager. However, if you should find a brand new Edward poster on my bedroom wall, and I am carrying my Bella loves Edward tote bag, it may be time to send in the professionals.

Man, I can't WAIT to see this movie. My mom bought the official movie guide that talks about the set design, costume design, etc. That movie was a PAIN to make (and a pain to read about). At the end, the director says her goal is for you to see it, go home and make out with your boyfriend (or spouse), then go see it again. From what I hear, that's mostly what people have been doing. Awesome.

Ha ha ha. You make me laugh. I was just the opposite. I really liked the books and not so much the movie. When I was reading them I'd find myself telling Ryan, "Edward wouldn't do that!" or "Why can't you just stay by my side and watch me sleep?" or any number of silly things. It does indeed suck you in. And don't worry about crossing the line between fantasy & reality. I do it all the time. Good dreams, good books, just sometimes my imagination. I think it's a good thing. Being lost in your own little fantasy world once in a while can be healthy... right?

You make me laugh, but I agree with you. I loved the movie and think Edward is sexy, but I also loved him in the books. I agree with the Ann of Green Gables, I watched some on Thanksgiving and felt a little out of reality.

Welcome to my world! I have been living in the Twilight realm for over a year now, and I don't think I ever come back to reality anymore. I am still re-reading the books passionately. I'm sure since you've visited my blog you've already gathered that I am one of those hopelessly obsessed fans.
So I loved hearing you rave!

I enjoyed the books and the movie, all except for the film portrayal of Bella. The book described her as intelligent and bright, more so than average. Her depiction in the film was to me a bit disappointing. But overall, I've loved it from the moment I first shoved Twilight under my keyboard at work so I could finish the story.

I thought the movie wasn't too bad either! I loved the books except for the last one. I loved your post...and absolutley adore Anne of Green Gables too. I would just cry and cry when Mathew dies...so sad!
