Inspired by cousin Luke, Tanner decided that Saturday was the day to say goodbye to training wheels! After all, he was six just like Luke and he couldn't be the only 6 year old around still on a baby bike. He told us that Saturday afternoon at 1:00 Kent would be in charge of teaching him how to ride, just like Uncle Keith, and my job was to take lots of pictures and video, just like Aunt April. (Tanner really loves a schedule.)

So at 1:00, but really more like 3:17, we went to work.
Kent took the training wheels off,

Then he helped him learn how to ride, and I took lots of pictures. Our video camera is taking a hiatus so we have no video =(

Tanner was AWESOME!!! He barely needed any help at all. It took about 10 minutes of practise before he was riding like a pro. We were all bursting at the seams with pride.

Way to go Tanner!

It's so fun watching our little ones reach these milestones! Can you even begin to fathom when little Lucy will be taking off her training wheels? Good job Tanner!

I think you should get him one of those pocket rockets. Forget pedaling.
