Too much of a good thing

Not so very long ago this was an almost full bottle of Bath and Body Works Warm Brown Sugar body spray. I think it is one of the most yummy smells ever and keep it in my bathroom for when my bathroom or I need a little extra spritz of goodness. It really does smell like warm brown sugar and a little bit like chocolate chip cookies.

Mmmmmm....... cookies........

I was working on my dishes went I noticed this rather strong smell coming from down the hall. Upon investigation I discovered that Weston had sprayed and spilt the whole bottle everywhere! He was drenched in it and so was my counter, floor, walls and carpet just out side the bathroom. He said he just wanted to smell pretty.

Needless to say, it did not smell like cookies or brown sugar or at all pretty. It was nasty. Very nasty.

We scrubbed and mopped and showered everything but it is still stinking. (and so is Wes.) I don't think I will ever love the smell of it again. Oh well.

Thank goodness it is summer and we can crank the windows open.

I thought that swimming was supposed to tire the boy out, not inspire mischief! You do lead an interesting if not hetic life.

What's with you and having overly-smelly accidents? I don't think it was too long ago that you spilled your scented oil all over yourself. :)

ohhh, sad! we have a horrible smell in our car that i've never been able to figure out, and no amount of scrubbing makes a difference. at least you know what your smell IS!

I have found that the only thing that gets yucky smells out of carpet is to use a vinegar and water mixture. Yes the vinegar does stink for a little while, but it evaporates pretty quickly. It is especially helpful in the car when there is spilled/spoiled milk spilled. I would much rather smell vinegar than sour milk!

When Kent and I were first married we bought a repo Blazer that someone had purposely dumped a gallon of milk and left in the sun. YIKES!!! (we did get a really great deal though)
That vinegar trick would have been most helpful then.
We ended up recarpeting, but every so often on a really hot day, WHOO WEEE!

So much for LOVING that smell again! I hate it when that kind of stuff happens....such a waste. It's pretty cute that Wes wanted to "smell pretty". :-)
