  1. Take in gigantic costume because 10 year old's heart was set on being a jailbird  and the only size you could find was adult XL.
  2. Create a fairy-princess-butterfly-ballerina tutu with  Halloween colored netting and spray glitter.
  3. Chop 6 inches off said tutu because you overestimated your 2 year olds height and she nearly met her death on the stairs.
  4. Strategically drip fake blood on the 8 year old's zombie costume to reach maximum. realism capacity.
  5. Create teacher  pathetic attempt to buy some love  appreciation Halloween treats.
  6. Run to Walmart to buy purple spray paint because the fairy-princess-butterfly-ballerina's wings are pink and they MUST be purple or they just won't do. (now they are this awesome pinkish purple and she is happy as a clam.)
  7. Add some dirt smudges to zombie costume to make it looks like the zombie "just crawled out fresh from  his grave because that would be the coolest things ever, mom!"
  8. Help 10 year old create a diorama for a book report he may have forgotten to mention was due tomorrow.
  9. Sneak in a few minutes to steal the 10 year old's DS and play Super Scribblenauts...coolest game ever!
  10. Watch 15 youtube video's with the 8 year old on proper zombie makeup application to reach maximum, realism capacity.  Pictures coming soon so you can see how we did.
Here's to moms everywhere who spent the day getting everything ready for Halloween parades across the land. May your day be filled with realistic looking zombies, spray glitter and happiness.

Halloween is SO much work for the Mom! That is why we shouldn't feel guilty about eating from our kids Halloween bag when they are at school.

Can't wait to see the pictures of your kids! I am sure they will look awesome. :-)

I am in panic mode since I have been in bed all day with a fever. I hope I can be ok for tomorrow! Way too much to do!
BTW..what is your 5 year old going to be?

Stacy....so sorry about your fever!!! So not a fun Halloween treat.
5 year old is going to be a ninja and since someone is always a ninja every single year, we were able to hodgepodge his costume together and he is pleased as punch.
