The Eightest Greatest Things About Being 8!

- You get to drink caffeine! (in our family, you must be 8 years old to drink caffeinated soda and this was THE most exciting thing about turning 8 for Tanner.
- You get to be a cub scout!
- You get to go to cub scout camp ON YOUR BIRTHDAY!! (not everyone can claim this little gem as fact...but Tanner can.)
- You finally get a new bike because you've been asking for a new one for like forever but you never got one until now because IT'S FINALLY YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!
5. You can choose what's for dinner, and it can even be McDonald's and you can EVEN GO IN TO THE PLAYLAND!!!!!! (most fortunately for us....he chose spaghetti...)
6. You get to go birthday shopping with Grandma and she will buy you way more than Mom or Dad would ever buy. (true. so very, very true.)
7. You can go down the water slide at the pool ALL BY YOURSELF while your little brother, who's only 5 has to just sit there and watch.
8. You almost use all your fingers to show people how old you are, 2 more years until you have 2 numbers on your birthday cake and 8 more years until you can hold a girl's hand FOR REALS!
